The Nexus Group, PC in Pittsburgh, PA is a widely respected and rapidly growing outpatient private psychiatric practice treating child, adolescent, and adult patients. We are a lean, digital office with a great support staff, allocating ample time for appointments and follow-ups.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Psychiatric Physician Assistant to join our team to provide high-quality psychiatric care to our patients.  The PA-C will work collaboratively with our team to diagnose and treat a variety of mental health conditions in an outpatient setting. 
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who is eager to expand their expertise and knowledge for high quality patient care. Our optimal candidate will thrive under pressure and be able to self-direct their day-to-day responsibilities. You will be collaborating with a managing psychiatrist to provide consistent and quality treatment to patients.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of new and existing patients
  • Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy
  • Monitor and evaluate patients' progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Provide patient education and counseling regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication adherence
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
  • Certification in Psychiatry/Mental Health from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Previous experience in psychiatry or mental health preferred, but new graduates with a strong interest in psychiatry are welcome to apply
